Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia affect so many families - including my own - and I am doing this challenge to raise awareness and funds for researching how we can tackle it!

In the month of May, my goal is to cover a total distance of 290km and raise €290 - one km and one euro for every thousand patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the Netherlands. I'm planning to cover this distance with a combination of walking, running, cycling, and maybe some skating or rowing thrown in too! Alzheimer's is not just about misplacing your keys or the forgetfulness that comes with normal ageing. Alzheimer's can impact your ability to perform routine tasks (like tying your shoes) and even the ability to recognise loved ones. It's a heartbreaking condition, but together we can take the steps to help those affected!
