My mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimers disease this year. Made me realize good health should never be taken for granted and act now.
I decided to put my cycling kilometers to some good use and have set the bar for this challenge at 10 times my mums' age for both my funding and distance goals.

I will also match the distance I ride with the funds I raise, should I exceed my target. So the more you donate, the further and longer I'll go. This is your opportunity to make me sweat! 😀

The month of May has come to an end, and so has this challenge. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my sponsors for your support and I feel humbled by your generosity. It has exceeded my wildest imagination. To recap, here's the month of May in numbers: 1682 Euro's donated (thank you, thank you, thank you!); 1696 kilometers cycled; 62 hours of effort; 25 rides; 19 bananas; 45 bottles of sports drink; 1 sore back; 0 punctures; Infinite support from all the people near me to make me complete this challenge. I have enjoyed the journey, the pushing of boundaries and going the extra mile. I am grateful for all the stories people shared with me during this challenge about their experience with Alzheimer's in their close proximity. I never realized this disease is so omnipresent. It provided me with the motivation to push on and keep going. Thank you for that. Stay safe and keep moving, it's good for your mental health! Boris
